Old Robe Canyon
Today, Rachel and I and her parents went out to Old Robe Canyon for a short hike. The trail head starts out on the Mountain Loop Highway past Granite Falls and heads down 300ft right away before leveling out. From here the path winds along the Stilly River until it runs into the canyon wall and turns into an old railway and tunnels that were used in the mining of gold at Monte Cristo. I took this picture of a wood frog and this picture in the tunnel. The wood frog picture is actually heavily edited from two separate pictures into one. I actually took the frog picture while my father-in-law Harry was holding it, and then took the picture of the rocks right after to match. I’ve included both of the original photos in the secondary images.
